Can ya'll believe this is still kicking so many years later: GraalOnline - Playerworlds - Features

From what I understand, they were originally based on PlayerWorlds, right? Not sure where they're at now. Wouldn't be surprised if it were still all legacy code though.

I remember seeing this a few years back. Never played. Is this what PlayerWorlds turned into eventually or were these guys just inspired by PW?

Regardless, I don't believe it's legacy code either. Says it runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac!

I think it's what PlayerWorlds turned into. It's been around for quite a few years now.

They have threads dating back to 2001: I hope.. - Graal Forums

7000 playerbase, that's crazy. Especially if it's made with an old engine like that. I think there's a mobile spinoff as well.

I'm unsure of what their software is built with. The modern stuff definitely isn't sharing any code with Mirage, but I think the classic servers might be. Even then, from looking at some of their script examples from around 2002, it's nothing I've ever seen implemented alongside a Mirage engine. It's some kind of C inspired scripting language.
